Renewable energy plays a huge role when we talk about sustainable improvements, especially in locations like tourist islands. There exists a lot of options, but solar and nuclear power presents good potential and benefits.

Solar energy, captures trough panels, is effective in sunny environments, typical of islands. It produces clean energy, providing a pollution free atmosphere. Additionally, solar panels requiere minimal maintenance and does not produce noises, keeping the calmness of the island.

Contrary to that, nuclear power provides a large production and it not does depend on weather conditions, however you have to be extremely cautious with the safety protocols and the risk of radiation. If we are talking about a little island with a reduce space and little infrastructure, the management of nuclear waste could be challenging, provoking environmental concerns.

Having all of this in consideration, solar energy is the optimal choice for a tourists island. It is good for the environment, it is more related with the conditions and necessities of the island and tourists. This option comes along with a good development and preservation of the nature.

Language Learning Process.

Introduction:

The aim of this report is to explain the process about how a language is learned, the strengths and weaknesses involved and how We can keep learning them.

Learning Process:

For this report there are two languages involved, English and Spanish, with the last one mentioned being the mother tongue, the process of learning comes more natural, being guided mostly by the parents in first stages. English, on the other hand, is guided by a professor since the beginning so the process is more structured.

Strengths:

  • As far as the English language is concerned, having it as a tool is very important in terms of job opportunities and being able to speak and understand it in every country of the world, because English is spoken everywhere.
  • In regards to Spanish, being the mother tongue, it is easier to have a major input on a daily basis and become an expert in order to teach it in other parts of the world.

Weaknesses:

  • In the case of English, being the second language, maybe you can lack its use on a daily basis causing a downgrade in terms of your knowledge of the language.
  • For Spanish, it all depends on your context and reality, if you were taught in an incorrect way for a long period of time, it could be difficult to improve it.

Recommendations:

  • Surround yourself with the language you want to learn or improve and be open to hear feedback from other people with more knowledge.

Thank you for writing my friend, it’s always nice to hear from you. I’m very happy to hear about you and that thanks to your job you will spend three weeks in my city, which has plenty of places to see.

From what I read you will have enough time to visit and discover new places ans that´s great, because you can free your mind from work at some moments and that´s pretty important. First of all you should visit the finest restaurant in town, Don Vito, it’s Italian food, simply amazing, I´ve been there many times and the attention is wonderful, like a five stars hotel.
Secondly, make sure to visit the beach, it´s gigantic and also one of the biggest attracion of the city nowadays and if you are not afraid jump in the water I recommend you to do it, it’s a great experience.
On your free days, the best advice I can give to learn the language is talk to every person you can, go out there and expose yourself, ask questions, ask for typical phrases or words and just be brave to use them.
I hope to hear from you soon my dear friend, it´s great to know that you a growing a lot as a person and any question I’ll be here to guide you in the town.

Home workshop week 15: “Digital workshop: my personal reflections”

My opinions have changed after giving the tech in education workshop some thought. At first, I thought of technology as an adjunct to conventional instruction. But as the workshop went on, I became aware of its significant influence.

It was enlightening to see how technology has influenced my education in so many different ways. I was able to explore new areas and learn more about things at my own speed thanks to online resources. Among the new technologies, collaborative document editing was particularly noteworthy. Collaborating on projects with classmates proved to be not only effective but also empowering, demonstrating the transformative power of technology in removing obstacles to collaboration.

I saw how critical it was to strike a balance while using technology, tackling problems like digital inequality and information overload. Assuring appropriate tech use through ethical considerations became essential, transforming pupils into critical analysts.

My learning path has been shaped by tech’s collaborative aspect. When technology was applied intelligently, it broke down barriers seen in traditional education.

After assessing the course, I’m comfortable navigating the digital age. My increased tech ethics and practical abilities equipped me to integrate tools in future educational contexts in an ethical manner.

I envision a dynamic educational environment where technology and conventional approaches coexist together in the future. I’m still fully committed to utilizing the advantages of technology. My goal is to investigate new approaches to improving education while giving ethical issues first priority.

Throughout this course I have tried to achieve as much learning as possible along with trying to achieve an adaptation with technology. The rapid evolution of technology is something that is challenging when it comes to implementing it in education. One of the most significant lessons I have learned is the powerful impact that technology can have on education. With multiple online learning platforms the possibilities for enhancing the learning experience are many.
What I would like to share with my classmates is the importance of adapting to technology. It is not just about using technology, but understanding it, consciously searching and choosing digital resources, and being aware of online security and privacy. Acquiring these skills will be invaluable in our careers and in our daily lives.
There have been some challenges, especially with the balance of personal and student life. Finding the right balance and maintaining motivation can be difficult.
To my classmates, I would advise them to be curious and proactive in exploring technology. Ask questions when necessary, seek help and collaborate with others.

Strategies and tips to find appropriate digital content.

There are a lot of strategies to find digital content, I use a lot the key words to get to what I’m looking for, I also look for a lot of recommendations, either in comments of certain videos related to the topic or in different websites.

Another tip that is used a lot is to not stay with the first results, always dig a little deeper in the search.

There are many tips that I was not familiar with, such as Identifying content types and formats, Established content goals and objectives and see if the pages are reliable and based.
